Description

Something a little different.....This manipulation, as the title suggests, was inspired by the Peruvian painter, Boris Vallejo. You guys should know who he is??
Also a large view provided. Enjoy and any mistakes feel free to mention so I can learn :)

Beautiful piece of work..also reminds me a little of the work of Michael Parkes.
The only thing is the bird on the left...brings the compo a little out of balance imo....but thats just my opinion.

Larsen, Not completly my idea, as I was inspired ;-)

Passenger, I just googled Parkes. Interesting works.
I did consider taking the bird out but then i decided against it, as i wanted it to look like a captured moment and not a painting or manipulation.. (even though it's clearly that) but I wanted a sense of realism about it, like when you shoot a sunset and a bird flies past unpredicted...

Thanks for yr commetns :)

Very nice. I am not sure about that moon and a half though. One will do. :)

Yep this reminds me of boris vallejo. ;) Good job creating a interesting and beautiful picture! I kinda would have liked to see a little bit more contrast though...

Nice work. The lighting could use a bit more tweaking though. You have this intense light source behind the figure and the land mass, yet there are dense shadows where there should be highlights.

Very nice manipulation.Nice fantasy feel to it :) Of course I know Vallejo. Thought I always prefer his wifes (Julie Bell) paintings ^_- I think she puts more heart inside
Good work

I agree with the lighting rose. I haven't manipulated like this before though so still learning :)

Curlyhair, I love her work! She is amazing as is Boris although his work seems to be a lot of the same things. I am a guy though! hehe

Always wanted to create something similar to Vallejo and I am quite pleased with the result, although now i look again and again i keep noticing lots wrong with it. I will keep trying though so keep yr eyes peeled for more works like this from me :)

Thanks for your comments guys :)

Looks good, but weird lighting? Perhaps if she OR the background was flipped horizontally it might work better.
